1st November 2009 Windsurfing: Hove Wind Direction: SW-WSW Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: chest high waves Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: I had a nice session at Portslade nudist beach. Arrived at just after 2pm and rigged 5.5m on freestyle board as it was super light at that point. Did 6 or 7 decent jumps on the first run out and gybed into a sweet wave but could barely hold down the power!!! Back to shore and rigged 5m on Et70. Lovely and the next half hour was sweetest with some nice hooked sections on the waves. Woomph!!! It got more rippy and choppy, but the bigger waist -chest high sections were still around if you kept looking. Sometimes there were cross waves rolling through that made all sorts of peaks ramp up. Switched to the 100 ltr board again at 4 ish when the wind went more offshore and lighter. Had a great finish chasing around the waves and catching a few with the extra volume to keep upwind and survive the lulls. |
